Nevado Copa Climb – White Mountain Range

Nevado Copa , Copa peak is located in the Cordillera Blanca within of the Huascaran National Park, Copa Mount beautiful famous and attractive mountain of 6,188m. During the climb on the glacier many crevices to cross with section of the rocks and ice ridges.

Day 1.- Huaraz – Vicos – Legiacocha / Base Camp 4400m.
This morning after your breakfast in the hotel the passengers will be aboard our private transport then transferred to Vicos town along this travel we will pass small villages as Monterrey , Marcara, Chancos and finally to Vicos place where the donkey driver and his donkeys will be waiting for us to transport the food personal climbing gear etc to Copa Base Camp. 4 – 5 hours.

Day 2.- Base Camp – Moraine Camp – Camp I 5300m. ( glacier)
In the morning after the breakfast we will start to climb up to high camp I, We will pass by big rocks then moraine camp after the few hours we will get the glacier, here we will use our climbing gears as grampon, harness etc. then continue for aprox. 1 hour to high camp. Amazing splendid views of the Callejon de Huaylas , mountains as Huascaran, Hualcan , Vallunaraju and the Cordillera Negra.

Day 3.- Camp I – Copa Summit 6,188m. – Base Camp
Early in the morning approx.. 2:00am You will have fast breakfast then start to climb up to summit for 6 – 7 hours. In the top you will have few minutes for take pictures then we will start to go down to high camp in the high camp you will rest for one hour while the porter and cook pick up the tents and others, then continue to go down for 3 hours to base camp.

Day 4.- Base Camp – Vicos – Huaraz
After the breakfast approx.. 8:00am. Go down to Vicos for 4 – 5 hours. The donkeys will transport all equipments to Vicos. Where our private transport will be waiting for us then back to Huaraz, arriving to Huaraz approx... 3 – 4 pm.

We run Copa Mount expedition in every climb season from May to August the best weather are June and July is the best time to climb the Copa peak.
