Day 1.- Transfer Huaraz – Huanucopampa – Queropalca
In the morning after your breakfast in Hotel, you will board our private transport then drive approx.. 4 hours to Huanucopampa (Archeological Center) where our guide will explain you about the inca ruins there you will spend some time exploring and lunch then continue driving to Queropalca. Place where our donkey driver will be waiting for us and ready for next day.
Approx. 8 Hours
Day 2.- Queropalca – Carhuacocha lagoon 4200m.
In the morning packing everything, your equipment is loaded onto the donkeys.
Then hike up for 5 hours to get Carhuacocha camp from there the splendid views of nevado Yerupaja 6635m the second highest in Peru, Yerupaja chico, Siula Grande 6340,. And the carhuacocha lake.
Approx.. 5hours.
Day 3.- Carhuacocha – Siula Pass 4800m. – Huayhuash
A long day, with a choice of routes via Siula pass (4800m) before the pass we will see the three lakes of different colours as: Laguna Siula, Laguna Quesillococha and Laguna Jancacocha the mountains Yerupaja, Yerupaja Chico Siula Grande, Jurao peaks, Carnicero and laguna Carnicero.
Approx. 8 – 9 Hours
Day 4.- Huayhuash – Portachuelo pass 4600m. – Viconga ( Hot Spring )
We climb up to Portachuelo pass (4,650m) from where you will see the Cordillera Raura and the Leon Huacanan peak, Quesillojanca, Santa Rosa on the right side we will see Trapecio . Buscanturpa and others then go down, passing by the Viconga lake We will arrive to camping place ( there are hot spring )
Approx... 6 hours
Day 5.- Viconga – Cuyoc Pass 5000m. – Huanacpatay
This morning after our breakfast, we will climb up to Cuyoc Punta pass 5000m. the highest pass where we have beautiful views of Cordillera Raura mountains, nevado cuyoc. then continue to descending to Huanacpatay camp.
Day 6.- Huanacpatay – Huayllapa – Huatiac
In the morning we will descending along the way we will see the farmers people, agricultures before the Huayllapa village we will continue ascend to Huatiac camp ( if we will have time we can visit Huayllapa town)
Approx.. 8 hours
Day 7.- Huatiac – Tapush Pass 4800m. – Yaucha Pass 4800m. – Jahuacocha camp
This day we will have two high passes bit not so hard. The first Tapush pass then go down for 40 minutes then climb up for one hour and half to Yaucha pass 4,800m. Then go down to Jahuacocha camp at 4,100m. Along the way we will see beautiful mountains as Diablo Mudo, huacrish, Yerupaja. Rasac, if we will lucky we will see Andean Condors.
Approx. 6 – 7 Hours.
Day 8.- Jahuacocha Pampa Llamac 4300m. – Llamac – Huaraz
Today we will cross the final pass of the route, Pampa Llamac pass (4300m) and then descend to the village of Llamac 3250m. Here we will say good bye to our donkey drivers and meet our vehicles for the 5 hour drive back to Huaraz – Hotel.
