The Huayhuash hike route via trapecio pass, one of the most impressive pass. You will see most gloriously green glacial lakes surrounded by hard rocks. From trapecio pass you will enjoy beautiful landscapes of the cordillera huayhuash and along the trek there are dozens of snow-capped mountains to multicolored glacial lagoons of the huayhuash range.
Trapecio high pass at 5,020m is the highest point of the entire huayhuash adventure. It is also one of the best viewpoint providing views unlike anything than the other mountain passes.
Huayhuash via trapecio pass trekking requires of two or three days of acclimatization before the hike

Day 1.- Huaraz – Chiquian – Llamac – Cuarttelhuain
After breakfast in Hotel, our guide will pick up you then drive to the village of Chiquian, Llamac and finally Cuartelhuain, our first camp at 4,100m. Place where our donkey driver will be waiting for us and ready for next day.

Day 2.- Cuartelhuain – Cacanan Pass – Mitucocha
In the morning we climb up to our first pass Punta Cacanan (4700m) then descend to our camp at the beautiful lake Laguna Mitucocha (4150m). From our camp we have close views of the huge peaks Rondoy, Jirishanca, Ninashanca.

Day 3.- Mitucocha – Carhuac Pass – Carhuacocha
We will climb to the next pass, Carhuac (4600m) We then descend to camp at 4200 m. above Laguna Carhuacocha and beneath the impressive peaks of Yerupaja Grande, Yerupaja Chico and Jirishanca.

Day 4.- Carhuacocha – Siula Pass 4800m.– Huayhuash
A long day, with a choice of routes via Siula pass (4800m) before the pass we will see the three lakes of different colours as: Laguna Siula, Laguna Quesillococha and Laguna Jancacocha the mountains Yerupaja, Yerupaja Chico Siula Grande
Aprox. 8 – 9 Hours
Day 5.- Huayhuash – Trapecio Pass 5020m. – Elefante Camp
This morning after our breakfast, we will climb up to “Trapecio Pass” where we have beautiful views of Trapecio and Buscanturpa mountain then continue to descending to elephant camp.
Approx. 6 – 7 Hours
Day 6.- Elefante Camp – Santa Rosa Pass – Cutatambo
Today after our breakfast we will hike up for 3 hours to Santa Rosa pass 5000m. There we will see beautiful mountains such as Jurao, Sarapo, Rasac, Cuyoc, and others, then continue to down for 2 hours, passing by the Jurao lake we will arrive to cutatambo camp at 4300m.
Approx. 6 Hours.
Day 7.- Cutatambo – Huayllapa – Huatiac
Follow the calinca valley we go down to huayllapa village long the way we will see typical vestments of the local people then we climb up to huatiac camp at 4300m.
Approx. 7- 8 Hours
Day 8.- Huatiac – Tapush Pass 4800m. – Yaucha Pass 4800m. – Jahuacocha Lake
This day we will have 2 pasess the first Tapush pass then go down for 40 minutes then climb up to Yaucha pass 4,800m. Then go down to Jahuacocha camp at 4,100m
Approx. 6 – 7 Hours.
Day 9.- Jahuacocha – Pampa Llamac – Llamac – Huaraz
Today we will cross the final pass of the route, Pampa Llamac pass (4300m) and then descend to the village of Llamac 3250m. Here we will say good bye to our trek crew and meet our vehicles for the 5 hour drive back to Huaraz – Hotel
